We who preach and write, do so in a manner different from which the Scriptures have been written. We write while we make progress. We learn something new every day. We speak as we still knock for understanding...If anyone criticizes me when I have said what is right, he does me an injustice. But I would be more angry with the one who praises me and takes what I have written for Gospel truth than I would be with the one who criticizes me unfairly. -Augustine

Pyramid of greatness

I first learned about John Wooden during his years of basketball coaching, I think was UCLA he was one of the most successful coaches ever. But his influence went beyond coaching and everyone seemed to be asking him his secrets of success. Several years ago, he wrote a children’s book on character and I found that he was able to translate his world view for children. When someone can do this, you know that it is good for adults. His world view has now been written in the form of a pyramid. I think we will all benefit from reading and putting these foundation stones into practice. By the way, this is his 99th birthday
