We who preach and write, do so in a manner different from which the Scriptures have been written. We write while we make progress. We learn something new every day. We speak as we still knock for understanding...If anyone criticizes me when I have said what is right, he does me an injustice. But I would be more angry with the one who praises me and takes what I have written for Gospel truth than I would be with the one who criticizes me unfairly. -Augustine

Ask for Rain in the Spring

A friend sent me this….good stuff. I have been reading through the Minor Prophets a lot lately, and just yesterday I was reading through Zechariah and in 10:1 it says, “Ask rain from the LORD at the time of the spring rain – the LORD who makes the storm clouds; and He will give them showers of rain, vegetation in the field to each man.” It just kind of hit me… why would someone ask God for something so obvious? Ask for rain in the rainy season? Why? Because God is the provider of all our needs! He gives us all sufficiency! I was challenged to ask God even for the most obvious of things, that I so often even fail to give Him credit for providing!
